Success Story: L+S Kunststofftechnologie, Wertheim
Through the use of the DOCUframe® DMS-System, L+S has substantially reduced paper consumption and information loss.
 L+S Kunststofftechnologie is a medium-sized company with 160 employees at two production locations in Wertheim/Main and Neuhaus am Rennweg in Thüringen. Today, it is leading the industry in the processing of high performance polymers. Injection moulding parts from high performance materials are to be found particularly applied within the automotive industry and in medical technology.
The Decision for DOCUframe®
“The reason why we at L+S Kunststofftechnologie decided for DOCUframe® is that DOCUframe® could meet our basic requirements with its standard package. It was also immediately recognised that the sum of our business procedures, in particular, the courses of projects which can be with the motoring industry, for example, extremely complex, could be represented without problems in DOCUframe®," says Endrik Mueller, responsible Department Manager for Organisation.
The existing software was tied in over interfaces to DOCUframe® without greater expense so DOCUframe® could be completely integrated into the existing software landscape of L+S Kunststofftechnologie.
The Main Deciding Factor - Flexibility
A crucial purchase deciding factor was the high flexibility of DOCUframe®. Because of the DOCUcontrol® programming language, developed by GSD, undreamt-of possibilities are offered.
“We are now in a position to adapt the program to the constantly changing requirements within the shortest time. In the meantime, we have adapted DOCUframe® to our operational procedures in such a way that it is only with difficulty that we could imagine working without DOCUframe®, actually, not at all anymore,” explains Endrik Mueller.
Complex Operational Procedures
Among other things, complete project management and internal and external handling of complaints was integrated into DOCUframe®. Also, a complete design administration for parts and construction designs, as well as a label printing function for the most diverse kinds of automotive labels, was created by very simple macro programs in DOCUframe®.
These macro programs are not affected by GSD’s regular updates to the DOCUframe® software and - an important feature - remain always invariably available in order to prevent unpleasant surprises after updates.

Through the use of DOCUframe®, paper consumption and the scattering of information into countless hanging file folders and binders at L+S Kunststofftechnologie was substantially reduced. DOCUframe® is now the central hanging file folder, the central binder.
Everyone can find all the important information at a central place, at any time. In this way, L+S Kunststofftechnologie saves unnecessary calls and going the long way around, and instead arrives quickly and surely at the required information.
Through the use of DOCUframe®, the requirements for ISO9001 certification could be fulfilled in all areas for L+S Kunststofftechnologie.
What is planned for the future?
Endrik Mueller, responsible Department Manager for Organisation reports, “still more intensive steps will be made for tying into the existing PPS system; in addition, DOCUframe® will be extended substantially in this area. We will integrate further important operational procedures in DOCUframe® to allow us to certify in about 2 years’ time for the intensified regulations of TS 16949, which is expressly requested by nearly all automobile manufacturers already.”
