2007-03-19 CeBIT 2007: InterSystems and GSD Software announce partnership Complete Enterprise solution ERPframe becomes platform independent through Caché database. Hanover, 19.03.2007 - At CeBIT 2007, InterSystems GmbH (Hall 3, Booth C20) and GSD Software mbH (Hall 5, Booth E26) announced their newly forged partnership. As a Caché applications partner, GSD now offers its ERPframe complete enterprise solution based on the high performance object database of InterSystems. The broad platform support of Caché was the deciding factor for the transfer. "Our past database platform was available exclusively on Windows systems", explains Hans Rebhan, Managing Director of GSD Software. "Since our customers in medium-sized enterprises are ever more frequently looking for alternatives, the database itself became a real business obstacle. Thanks to the switch to Caché, we can now also offer our solutions on Linux, Unix and even Mac OS X." At CeBIT, the new Caché-based version of ERPframe® was presented for the first time. And with good success: Rebhan emphasises that, "the feedback of the first few days at the fair was extremely promising. It appears existing and prospective customers are equally attracted by the broad platform support, and, in addition, a clear performance advantage for Caché becomes apparent in a direct comparison." Motivated by the positive experience, Rebhan’s development team is already considering how, in a next step, they can also take advantage of the object-oriented application server.
