Latest news:2006-11-06Review of the Systems 2006 FairRegardless of the smaller number of visitors to the fair, GSD Software was able to make numerous new, interested contacts and lead in-depth conversations. All in all, 1260 exhibitors from 28 countries were represented in Munich from October 23 through 27.The organisers couldn’t quite reach their target – partly because of “Expo Real” taking place at the same time, which led to reduced numbers of visitors and exhibitors on the fair grounds as well as in the city of Munich. It is estimated that about 53,000 qualified visitors attended, about 10% less than in the previous year. GSD Software, who for the first time was represented with 2 booths, still counts it as a success. The concept of having 2 booths in 2 different halls with a total of seven well-qualified partners on location paid off, as Marketing and Sales Manager Michael Funk confirms: “there was a strong interest in the areas of document management and web applications.” More visitors, than ever before, took advantage of the opportunity and informed themselves about the innovative new products from the software company from Upper Franconia. The participation in the Systems Auction to aid social charities was also a great success. The document management system DOCUframe®, as well as the futuristic LED photon torches and space-age PC liquid mice, was a big hit. In Focus for 2007: Industry Solutions for Medium-Sized Businesses To further increase visitor numbers, Systems will expand the medium-sized business programme to include more industry specific topics and to offer new information and communication tools especially for tech-oriented IT buyers. The leading business-to business fair for IT, Media and Communications focuses even more strongly on medium-sized businesses. Organisers are announcing, “the existing programme for medium-sized business buyers will be expanded… with a focus on industry solutions” – a concept that GSD Software has already implemented successfully since it is beginning in 1988. On the highest technical-development level, the Stockheim company unites all the vital components in one system that adapts flexibly to the needs of even the most varied industries. This is made possible through the internally developed programming language, which allows the display and optimisation of all in-house processes quickly and industry-independently. This flexible approach didn’t just win over its 35,000 users, but also the judges of the Initiative Mittelstand who have awarded all the modules of the GSD Software product range with their desired innovation prize. To top it off, in 2006, GSD Software was admitted into the renowned “TOP 100” circle for German medium-sized enterprises – and thus felt in good company at Systems, the leading IT Fair for medium-sized enterprises. Next Systems Fair: October 22 through 26 The next year will see a continuation of the new and proven concept to have representation in several booths. “Development shows that the sales area is expanding – not just here, but also abroad, like in Austria, Sweden, Poland and Switzerland,” explains director Hans Rebhan. The enterprise will continue to work with strong partners to ensure the best support for its users on location. “As in the past, we bank on continual and solid growth, and particularly the location of Stockheim in Upper Franconia,” he confirms. In the past years, many new jobs were created. And more recruitment is planned already. The successful 2006 business year shows that innovative ideas, together with a committed team, can even be developed outside IT metropolises. “Munich, as Europe’s biggest high tech and media location, is always worth a visit, however, especially during the fair” admits Hans Rebhan with a twinkle in his eye.
